Regular Season Round 9: Namika Lr - PuHu Juniorit 72-92

Not a big story in a game in Lappeenranta where 9th ranked Namika Lr (3-6) was rolled over by fifth ranked PuHu Juniorit (6-3) 92-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by PuHu Juniorit. Namika Lr was better in third quarter 27-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Trey Hall (190-95, college: Cameron) stepped up and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Samatar Abokar (190-1) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four PuHu Juniorit players scored in double figures. PuHu Juniorit's coach Mikko Larkas used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Jussi Moilanen (190-96) with 28 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American point guard Aubrey Conerly (182-83, college: Jacksonville) scored 19 points. PuHu Juniorit maintains fifth place in Division with 6-3 record. Newly promoted Namika Lr keeps the ninth position with six games lost. PuHu Juniorit will face higher ranked PeU-Basket (#3) in Pernio in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Namika Lr will play at home against Westside ET (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
