There was a minor upset in Detroit where their close opponent Spurs (7-14) were rolled over by third ranked Pistons (7-13) 132-98 on Sunday. Pistons outrebounded Spurs 50-31 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Spurs' players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Christian Wood (208-95, college: UNLV, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: UConn) who added 9 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Four Pistons players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) responded with 20 points and forward Drew Eubanks (208-97, college: Oregon St.) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pistons maintains third position with 7-13 record having five points less than leader Toronto R. which they share with defeated Spurs. Loser Spurs keep the third place with 14 games lost.
