Regular Season Round 40: LA Clippers - Washington W. 150-125

Date: December 1, 2019
Everything went according to plan in Los Angeles where second ranked Clippers (14-7) outscored 4th ranked Wizards (6-12) 150-125 on Sunday. Clippers made 32-of-40 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Clippers had a 42-31 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Wizards were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kawhi Leonard (201-91, college: San Diego St.) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and swingman Paul George (206-90, college: Fresno St.) who added 31 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side Japanese forward Rui Hachimura (203-98, college: Gonzaga) responded with 30 points and 9 rebounds and Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Clippers maintains second position with 14-7 record having just three point less than leader Toronto R. Loser Wizards keep the fourth place with 12 games lost.
