Regular Season Round 11: Solares - Nissan Burgos 77-78

A very close game took place in Solares between Nissan Burgos and Solares. Eighth ranked Nissan Burgos (6-4) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Solares (6-3). Nissan Burgos managed to escape with a 1-point win 78-77 on Sunday evening. Nissan Burgos outrebounded Solares 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Dutch center Oliver Bieshaar (202-1) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. British-Kittitian forward Kareem Queeley (193-1) helped adding 16 points. British forward Connor Murtagh (196-94) responded with 18 points and forward Sergio Garcia (195-95) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nissan Burgos moved-up to fifth place in Group A-A, which they share with Ardoi. Solares lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Nissan Burgos will meet bottom-ranked Tabirako (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Solares will play against Zarautz (#7) and hope to secure a win.
