Regular Season Round 9: FoKoPo - LoKoKo Bisons 63-111

Everything went according to plan in Forssa where third ranked LoKoKo Bisons (6-3) outscored 11th ranked FoKoPo (1-8) 111-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by LoKoKo Bisons. FoKoPo was better in third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LoKoKo Bisons dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to FoKoPo's 38. They outrebounded FoKoPo 46-31 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. LoKoKo Bisons looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by FoKoPo's players. American forward DeSean Parsons (201, college: Portland St.) stepped up and scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners and Juho-Matti Henttonen (202-96) chipped in 29 points and 7 rebounds. Four LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Arnold Fripp (201-93, college: Coppin St.) with 25 points and guard Johan Kotavuo (187-96) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. FoKoPo's coach Petteri Molenius gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. LoKoKo Bisons maintains third place in Division with 6-3 record having just three points less than leader Tapiolan Honka. FoKoPo at the other side keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. LoKoKo Bisons will face Oulun NMKY (#5) at home in the next round. FoKoPo will play against ToPo Juniorit (#10) in Helsinki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
