Very expected game in Mogi das Cruzes where 11th ranked Brasilia (4-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Mogi (8-3) 93-84 on Monday. They made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Mogi looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Brasilia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Fulvio de-Assis (188-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) who added 23 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Welington Dos-Santos (185-81) with 21 points and 7 assists and point guard Guilherme Santos (189-97) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mogi moved-up to third place, which they share with Corinthians. Loser Brasilia dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Mogi will face SKY/Basquete (#15) in Aldeota in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brasilia will play against UniFacisa and hope to win that game.
