The game in Azarshahr supposed to be also worth to mention about. Top-ranked Naft Abadan (8-0) played at the court of 8th ranked Toufarghan (3-6). Naft Abadan did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 81-61. Naft Abadan dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Toufarghan's 26. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Mohammad Torabi (211-92) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87, agency: Interperformances) who added 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. Naft Abadan's coach Hemad Sameri allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian guard Kelvin Amayo (193-92, college: Loyola Mary) responded with 22 points and Nader Khazani scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Naft Abadan have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Newly promoted Toufarghan dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Shahrdari BA. Naft Abadan will play against Zob Ahan (#8) in Esfahan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toufarghan will play on the road against the league's second-placed Petrochimi in Bandar Imam and hopes to get back on the winning track.
