An interesting game for Mavericks (15-6) which hosted in Dallas 3rd placed Timberwolves (10-10). First ranked Mavericks managed to get a 7-point victory 121-114. Mavericks dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 40 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Mavericks players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) fired 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Canadian forward Dwight Powell (211-91, college: Stanford) chipped in 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) produced 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Mavericks and four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mavericks. They maintain first place with 15-6 record, which they share with Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76. Timberwolves at the other side keep the third position with ten games lost.
