Very predictable result when second ranked Olympiacos B (9-1) beat on the road bottom-ranked Napfliou (2-8) 89-85 on Wednesday. Olympiacos B forced 21 Napfliou turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Napfliou was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Petros Melissaratos (205-93) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Andreas Petropoulos (194-96) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Fanis Koumpouras (185-83) produced 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and Serbian center Stefan Djordjevic (206-89) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Olympiacos B and five Napfliou players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Olympiacos B have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Olympiacos B maintains second position with 9-1 record behind leader Charilaos TM. Napfliou at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom place with eight games lost. Olympiacos B will face Karditsas (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Napfliou will play against Dafni (#8) in Athens and hope to win that game.
