Regular Season Round 10: Raiders Basket - Kristika Turku 73-109

Rather expected game in Jarvenpaa where 12th ranked Raiders Basket (1-9) was rolled over by ninth ranked Kristika Turku (4-5) 109-73 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Kristika Turku led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Joona Tuomala (197-97) fired 37 points (!!!) for the winners. Power forward Mikael Aalto (205-94) chipped in 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Justin Taylor (198-96, college: Sioux Falls, agency: One Motive Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and forward Semi Saari (190-98) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kristika Turku moved-up to seventh place in Division. Loser Raiders Basket keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. Kristika Turku will face higher ranked Pyrinto Ak.A (#6) in Tampere in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Raiders Basket will play on the road against MuKi (#8) in Helsinki and hope to win that game.
