No shocking result in a game in Changchun where seventh ranked Jilin Tigers (8-5) smashed 18th ranked Sturgeons (2-11) 125-105 on Wednesday. Jilin Tigers made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 11 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The other American import power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 21 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Ty Lawson (180-87, college: UNC) who recorded 32 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and the former international Zhelin Wang (214-94) added 25 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Five Jilin Tigers and four Sturgeons players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jilin Tigers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Liaoning FL. Sturgeons lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 11 games lost. Jilin Tigers will face league's second-placed Xinjiang FT in Urumqi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sturgeons will play at home against Royal Fighters (#9) and hope to win that game.
