Regular Season Round 15: Handlova - Inter Bratislava 84-94

SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (9-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Handlova (5-8) 94-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Handlova. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. His fellow American import forward Wes Alcegaire (198-94, college: Bowling Green) helped adding 17 points. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Tomas Mrvis (200-91, agency: 011 Sports) with 16 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and Bosnian Aleksandar Radukic (206-91, agency: 011 Sports) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Handlova's coach Branko Maksimovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-2 record. Handlova at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against Zilina (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Handlova will play against Rieker KN in Komarno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
