Regular Season Round 14: CFBB - Avignon/Pontet 57-65

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-13) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 13th consecutive match to seventh ranked Avignon/Pontet (8-6) 65-57 on Wednesday evening. CFBB was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Dylan Gana (200-92) scored 12 points to lead the charge for the winners and Cheikh Gassama (193-95) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Avignon/Pontet players scored in double figures. Point guard Rudy Demahis-Ballou (189-2) responded with 9 points and 5 assists and Daniel Batcho (204-2) scored 5 points and 10 rebounds. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Avignon/Pontet moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with La Charite. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Avignon/Pontet will face higher ranked SOPCC (#4) in Pont de Cheruy in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play on the road against Kaysersberg (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
