Regular Season Round 8: Partizan - Buducnost 50-79
Date: December 5, 2019
The game in Beograd supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (6-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Serbian Partizan (2-6). Buducnost smashed Partizan 79-50 on Thursday. The game without a history. Buducnost led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Partizan's 30. Buducnost forced 28 Partizan turnovers and outrebounded them 30-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Buducnost especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of North Macedonian point guard Andzelika Mitrasinovik (178-93) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Serbian point guard Aleksandra Katanic (172-97) who added 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Buducnost players scored in double figures. Point guard Maja Popovic (169-2) responded with 9 points and 4 assists and Milica Indjic (-92) scored 7 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Buducnost have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending Montenegrin champion maintains fourth position with 6-2 record. Partizan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Crvena Zvezda. Buducnost will meet at home league's leader Montana 2003 in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Partizan will play against Tresnjevka (#9) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
