Regular Season Round 9: Kutaisi - Batumi 75-69

An interesting game took place in Kutaisi where 4th placed Batumi (5-4) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Kutaisi (4-4) 75-69 on Friday. The former international power forward Beka Bekauri (209-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners and American guard James Milliken (191-93, college: Creighton) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Collin Malcolm (201-97, college: Warner Pacific) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and forward Aleksandre Phevadze (206-98) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kutaisi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rustavi and Vera. Loser Batumi keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Kutaisi will face Cactus Tbilisi (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
