Regular Season Round 45: Detroit P. - Indiana P 108-101

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Pacers (14-8) against fourth ranked Pistons (9-14) on Friday night. Visiting Pacers were defeated by Pistons in a tough game in Detroit 101-108. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pacers. They outrebounded Pacers 51-33 including 37 on the defensive glass. Pistons looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: UConn) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 22 rebounds. Forward Blake Griffin (208-89, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 25 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Malcolm Brogdon (196-92, college: Virginia) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Pistons and five Pacers players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pistons moved-up to third place, which they share with Portland TB and San Antonio S. Loser Pacers keep the second position with eight games lost. Pistons will have a break next day. Pacers will play on the road against Knicks in New York City and hope to win that game.
