Regular Season Round 15: BC Lulea - Djurgarden 97-83

Date: December 6, 2019
No shocking result in a game when third ranked BC Lulea (11-3) defeated at home bottom-ranked Djurgarden (2-13) 97-83 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Lulea. Djurgarden managed to win fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BC Lulea made 8 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory scoring 44 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: NAU) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: NC Central) with 21 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Derrick Wilson (185-92, college: Marquette) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four BC Lulea and five Djurgarden players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for BC Lulea. They moved-up to second place. Djurgarden lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. BC Lulea will meet at home Norrkoping Dolphins (#6) in the next round. Djurgarden will play against Umea (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
