Regular Season Round 13: Kotwica - Pogon Prudnik 71-87

There was no surprise in Kolobrzeg where 15th ranked Kotwica (3-10) was defeated by ninth ranked Pogon Prudnik (5-8) 87-71 on Saturday. Swingman Adrian Mroczek-Truskowski (195-85) stepped up and scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international Marcin Sroka (201-81) chipped in 18 points. Four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Canadian forward Nick Madray (206-94, college: Wagner) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Bartosz Wrobel (190-95, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pogon Prudnik maintains ninth place with 5-8 record. Kotwica lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Pogon Prudnik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kotwica will play on the road against Miasto Szkla (#5) in Krosno and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
