Regular Season Round 12: Katy Wroclaw - Stal II Ostrow 105-90

Very expected game when 13th ranked Stal II Ostrow (1-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Katy Wroclawskie (6-4) 105-90 on Saturday. Katy Wroclawskie dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Stal II Ostrow's 38 and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Katy Wroclawskie looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Marcin Bluma (201-89) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Katy Wroclawskie players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Lukasz Wojciechowski (184-88) with 25 points and swingman Szymon Ryzek (190-97) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Stal II Ostrow's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Katy Wroclawskie maintains fifth position in Group D with 6-4 record. Stal II Ostrow lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with ten games lost. Katy Wroclawskie will face Gimbasket WRC (#12) in Wroclaw in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stal II Ostrow will play at home against Gimbasket WRC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
