Regular Season Round 23: Tokyo EX - Shinshu BW 79-69

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Shinshu BW (16-5) on the court of third ranked Tokyo EX on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Tokyo EX 79-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shinshu BW. Tokyo EX made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Tokyo EX had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) helped adding 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Shinshu BW's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Tokyo EX maintains third place with 13-8 record having 2 victories less than leader Shinshu BW. Shinshu BW at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Tokyo EX are looking forward to face FE Nagoya (#4) at home in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against Koshigaya A. and is hoping to win this game.
