Regular Season Round 9: Cedevita Jr. - Bosco 82-97

The biggest surprise of round 9 in Prva Liga was guest Bosco's (5-4) easy road victory over Cedevita Jr. (#7) 97-82 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cedevita Jr.. Bosco looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by Cedevita Jr. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was swingman Luka Katura (194-89) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Mateo Vidovic (194-99, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Matej Buovac (201-93, college: Sacred Heart, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and center Matej Bosnjak (204-2) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cedevita Jr.'s coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosco have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pula 1981. Cedevita Jr. at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Omis-Cagalj T. and Universitas. Bosco is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Zaprude (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cedevita Jr. will play against Pula 1981 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
