Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Cholet Basket (9-4) beat at home 9th ranked Chalons-Reims (5-8) 76-68 on Saturday. Cholet Basket forced 20 Chalons-Reims turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Abdoulaye NDoye (200-98) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners and American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Five Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Czech swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Wasserman) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Nicolas Moore (175-92, college: SMU) scored 13 points. Cholet Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bourg. Chalons-Reims lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Cholet Basket will face Le Mans (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chalons-Reims will play against Chorale de Roanne and hope to win that game.
