A very interesting game took place in Oviedo. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked CB Granada (5-7) to sixteenth ranked Oviedo CB (4-8) 82-81 on Saturday evening. Oviedo CB made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by CB Granada helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Finnish forward Matti Nuutinen (202-90, agency: Blacktop Management) who scored 20 points. Forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Oviedo CB players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and American center Earl Watson (201-90, college: URI) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively. CB Granada's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Oviedo CB moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Forca Lleida and Almansa. CB Granada at the other side dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Oviedo CB's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Gipuzkoa in San Sebastian and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
