Regular Season Round 23: Koshigaya A. - Fukushima 73-80

Rather expected game in Tokyo where 6th ranked Koshigaya A. (5-18) was defeated by fourth ranked Fukushima (8-13) 80-73 on Saturday. Fukushima forced 20 Koshigaya A. turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Shinya Murakami (172-91) helped adding 25 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward Alex Stepheson (208-87, college: USC) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks and American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fukushima maintains fourth place with 8-13 record. Koshigaya A. lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 18 games lost. Fukushima will face Aomori W. (#5) at home in the next round. Koshigaya A. will play against the league's leader Shinshu BW in Nagano and hope to win that game.
