Carugate outrebounded Vicenza 39-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Veronica Schieppati (185-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. Beatrice Olajide responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Bosnian center Tea Peric (187-99) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Carugate moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Vicenza keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Carugate will face Marghera (#15) in Venezia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vicenza will play at home against Mantova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
