Regular Season Round 9: Blois - Quimper 84-58

Date: December 7, 2019
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked ADA Blois as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Denain Voltaire) loss. ADA Blois smashed 7th ranked Quimper UJAP at home 84-58. They outrebounded Quimper UJAP 48-25 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Stephane Gombauld (202-97, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Tyren Johnson (201-88, college: La-Lafayette) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. Swingman Lucas Dussoulier (203-96) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Belgian point guard Charly Pontens (190-95, agency: Duran International) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Quimper UJAP. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Souffel. Quimper UJAP at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Quimper UJAP will play next round against Lille Metropole trying to get back on the winning streak. ADA Blois will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked JA Vichy on the road.
