The game had a very big importance for second-ranked 76ers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. 76ers defeated 3rd placed Raptors in Philadelphia 110-104. 76ers made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian point guard Ben Simmons (208-96, college: LSU) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Tobias Harris (206-92, college: Tennessee) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and British forward OG Anunoby (201-97, college: Indiana) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Raptors' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Raptors lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Houston R.. Raptors will play next day against strong Bulls trying to get back on the winning streak. 76ers will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
