Regular Season Round 47: Washington W. - LA Clippers 119-135

There was no surprise in Washington where 4th placed Wizards (7-15) were defeated by second ranked Clippers (16-8) 135-119 on Sunday. Clippers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Kawhi Leonard (201-91, college: San Diego St.) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Paul George (206-90, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Troy Brown-Jr (201-99, college: Oregon, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Latvian forward Davis Bertans (208-92) added 25 points respectively for the hosts. Four Clippers and five Wizards players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Clippers maintains second place with 16-8 record having just one point less than leader Philadelphia 76. Loser Wizards keep the fourth position with 15 games lost. Clippers will face league's second-placed Pacers in Indianapolis in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
