Very predictable result when second ranked San Lorenzo (7-3) won against 14th ranked Ferro (4-4) in Buenos Aires 83-77 on Sunday. San Lorenzo made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. San Lorenzo outrebounded Ferro 39-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American power forward Justin Williams (207-84, college: Wyoming) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (189-88) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Italian swingman Federico Marin (199-82) answered with 16 points and point guard Sebastian Orresta (188-93) added 14 points in the effort for Ferro. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory San Lorenzo went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Ferro dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. San Lorenzo will face Argentino (#11) in Junin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ferro's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Boca Juniors.
