Regular Season Round 20: Aisin AW - Kagoshima 95-91

There was no surprise in Aichi where 8th ranked Kagoshima (9-10) was defeated by third ranked Aisin AW (13-7) 95-91. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Aisin AW's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) replied with 41 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) added 29 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kagoshima. Aisin AW have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-7 record having just three points less than leader Iwate Big Bulls. Kagoshima at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Aisin AW's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Aichi to the arena Toyoda Gosei.
