Regular Season Round 16: Fyllingen BBK - Asker Aliens 99-83

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Asker Aliens (2-13) were defeated on the road by second ranked Fyllingen BBK (12-2) 99-83. Fyllingen BBK shot 60.6 percent from the field. Fyllingen BBK outrebounded Asker Aliens 37-22 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fyllingen BBK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kenny Carpenter (196-96, college: Cleveland St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 8 assists and 5 steals. Guard Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Fyllingen BBK players scored in double figures. American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) replied with 22 points and 7 assists and guard Ludvig Bergh (177-98) added 21 points in the effort for Asker Aliens. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fyllingen BBK maintains second position with 12-2 record having four points less than leader Kongsberg. Asker Aliens at the other side stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Fyllingen BBK will play against Baerum Basket (#3) in Bekkestua in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Asker Aliens will have a break next round.
