Serie A2 top team - Moncalieri (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Marghera (0-10) 70-44. Moncalieri held Marghera to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Marghera 56-30 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was German forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Anastasia Conte (171-0) chipped in 12 points. Naturalized Argentinian Gisel Villarruel (173-95) produced 15 points and Giorgia Callegari (173-96) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Moncalieri maintains first place in A2 with 10-0 record. Loser Marghera still closes the standings with ten games lost. Moncalieri will meet Sarcedo (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Marghera will play against Carugate (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
