The game in Vantaa was also worth to mention about. Third ranked PeU-Basket (8-2) played at the court of 5th ranked PuHu Juniorit (6-4). PeU-Basket defeated PuHu Juniorit 82-69. PuHu Juniorit was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. American forward Trenton Thompson (198-96, college: Asbury) notched 44 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) to lead the effort and guard Jussi Savolainen (186-85) supported him with 10 points. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by swingman Samatar Abokar (190-1) did not help to save the game for PuHu Juniorit. American point guard Trey Hall (190-95, college: Cameron) added 15 points for lost side. Four PuHu Juniorit players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. PeU-Basket maintains third position in Division with 8-2 record behind leader Tapiolan Honka. PuHu Juniorit at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. PeU-Basket's next round opponent will be Namika Lr (#8) in Lappeenranta where they are favorite. PuHu Juniorit will play on the road against Karkkila and hope to win that game.
