Regular Season Round 10: Genero - UCAM Jairis 69-76

Bottom-ranked Genero (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 76-69 loss to ninth ranked UCAM Jairis (4-6) in Las Palmas on Sunday evening. Strangely Genero outrebounded UCAM Jairis 32-13 including a 21-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Victoria Robles (179-91) fired 14 points for the winners. Danish forward Line Piechnik (171-90) chipped in 14 points. UCAM Jairis' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Regina Gomez (173-82) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and Yaiza Garcia added 14 points respectively for lost side. UCAM Jairis maintains ninth position in Group B with 4-6 record. Loser Genero still closes the standings with ten games lost. UCAM Jairis will face league's leader Barca CBS in Barcelona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Genero will play on the road against Girona (#7) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
