No shocking result in a game in Los Angeles where first ranked Lakers (20-4) defeated 3rd placed Timberwolves (10-12) 142-125 on Sunday. Lakers dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 58 and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Lakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) who scored 50 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). LeBron James (203-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 assists. Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) produced 19 points and 8 assists and Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Four Lakers and five Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-4 record. Timberwolves lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 12 games lost. Lakers will have a break next day. Timberwolves will play on the road against Suns in Phoenix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
