There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Paris (3-6) defeated at home higher ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (4-5) 92-83 on Sunday. Paris forced 24 Gries/Oberhoffen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-88, agency: Interperformances) who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Center Garry Florimont (202-87) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Paris players scored in double figures. Paris' coach Jean-Christophe Prat used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Israeli Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St., agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds and Bruno Cingala-Mata (200-93) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Paris moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Antibes. Loser Gries/Oberhoffen keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Paris will face higher ranked Nantes (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
