Regular Season Round 12: TLU/Kalev - Parnu 102-99

A very interesting game took place in Tallinn. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Parnu (5-9) to fourteenth ranked TLU/Kalev (3-8) 102-99 on Sunday evening. TLU/Kalev made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Parnu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Lithuanian guard Martynas Mazeika (192-85, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Latvian swingman Mareks Jurevicus (195-85) supported him with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by Latvian center Lauris Blaus (205-90) did not help to save the game for Parnu. Serbian Marko Stojadinovic (204-89) added 28 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TLU/Kalev moved-up to thirteenth place. Parnu at the other side dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. TLU/Kalev's next round opponent will be LU (#14) in Riga.
