Regular Season Round 13: Gornik Walbrzych - GKS Tychy 77-57

1Liga top team - Gornik (12-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked GKS Tychy (6-7) in Walbrzych 77-57. Gornik dominated down low during the game scoring 34 of its points in the paint compared to GKS Tychy's 14. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by GKS Tychy's players. Grzegorz Kulka (205-96) stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Damian Pieloch (195-89) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Michal Jankowski (191-87) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Pawel Zmarlak (195-82, agency: Promotex) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. GKS Tychy at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Gornik are looking forward to face league's second-placed STK Czarni in Slupsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GKS Tychy will have a break next round.
