Regular Season Round 12: Padova - Corona Platina 86-47

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Padova (10-2) outplayed at home 6th ranked Corona Platina (6-6) 86-47 on Sunday. Padova looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Corona Platina's players. It was a good game for swingman Michele Ferrari (196-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Ivan Morgillo (206-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Padova players scored in double figures. Padova's coach Daniele Rubini felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Andrea Vignali (201-93) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Guglielmo De-Ros (186-98) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Corona Platina. Padova keeps a position of B leader, which they share with Bernareggio and San Vendemiano. Newly promoted Corona Platina dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Padova will face Mestre (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Corona Platina will play against Omnia Basket (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
