We should mention about the upset which took place in Cantu, where higher ranked Openjobmetis VA (5-6) lost to fourteenth ranked Cantu (4-7) in a road game 67-74. Cantu dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Openjobmetis VA's 22. The winners were led by American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Andrea Pecchia (194-97) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. Cantu's coach Cesare Pancotto allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points by American point guard Josh Mayo (181-87, college: UIC, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for Openjobmetis VA. Estonian Siim-Sander Vene (201-90) added 14 points. Cantu maintains fourteenth position with 4-7 record. Openjobmetis VA at the other side dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. Cantu's next round opponent will be higher ranked Treviso (#8) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
