Regular Season Round 9: Alvik 2 - Jarfalla 98-75

Very expected game when 9th ranked Jarfalla (2-7) was smashed by fifth ranked Alvik 2 (5-5) in Stockholm 98-75 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Alvik 2. Jarfalla was better in second period 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Alvik 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Jarfalla's players. It was a good game for point guard Melwin Flykt (179-1) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Swingman David Jolinder (194-1) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Alvik 2's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Nehmija Fezehai (190-97) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Syrian guard Joseph Abboud (190-89) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Jarfalla. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Alvik 2 maintains fifth place in North with 5-5 record. Jarfalla at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Alvik 2 will face higher ranked KFUM Lidingo (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jarfalla will play against Akropol (#3) in Stockholm and hope to win that game.
