Regular Season Round 9: Uptown Cuts - Regulators 94-74

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Nassau: Uptown Cuts (#5) and Regulators (#4). Uptown Cuts (2-4) crushed visiting Regulators (3-4) by 20 points 94-74. Uptown Cuts forced 19 Regulators turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Uptown Cuts made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Salathiel Dean who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks. Guard Mitch Bain (188, college: Iowa Lakes CC) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Uptown Cuts players scored in double figures. Uptown Cuts' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Chico Francis who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Alexander Rolle (-93) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Uptown Cuts maintains fifth place with 2-4 record. Regulators at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Wolverines. Uptown Cuts' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Shockers.
