Regular Season Round 16: Jamtland - Boras 81-99

Date: December 10, 2019
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked KFUM Jamtland (5-9) lost to third ranked Boras Basket (11-2) in Ostersund 81-99 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 58-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Boras Basket made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for Icelandic point guard Elvar Fridriksson (180-94, college: Barry) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 assists. American forward DeAndre Davis (203-94, college: Alcorn St.) contributed with 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Boras Basket's coach Henrik Svensson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-French forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) replied with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Justin Gordon (198-93, college: Wofford) added 20 points in the effort for KFUM Jamtland. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-2 record behind leader Koping Stars. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. Boras Basket will face league's second-placed BC Lulea at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Jamtland will play against Sodertalje Kings (#4) and hope to win that game.
