Regular Season Round 7: Netanya - Afula 75-77

Important game to mention about took place in Netanya. Third ranked Afula (6-1) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Netanya (3-4) 77-75 on Tuesday evening. Afula forced 20 Netanya turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Naturalized American forward Ben Carter (206-94, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Bryce Washington (198-96, college: La-Lafayette) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Cameron Naylor (201-94, college: Texas St.) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Netanya in the defeat. Netanya's coach Ruven Najberger rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Afula. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bnei Hertzeliya. Netanya at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Afula will play against Maccabi Raanana (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Netanya will play against Ironi Kiryat Ata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
