We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Lorient (5-10) was edged on the road by twelfth ranked La Rochelle (5-10) 85-82 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was point guard Arnauld Thinon (178-87) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Naturalized Senegalese forward Antoine Mendy (198-83) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. La Rochelle's coach Gregory Thielin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. La Rochelle moved-up to eleventh place in Group A, which they share with defeated Lorient. La Rochelle will face higher ranked Vendee Challans (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
