Regular Season Round 31: Dorados - Mineros 68-104

An interesting game for Mineros (24-8) which played road game in Chihuahua against their biggest opponent Dorados (20-9). First ranked Mineros had an easy win 104-68. Mineros made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 64.3 percentage. Mineros looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican Victor Liz (193-86) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: UNC) accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Five Mineros players scored in double figures. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Dominican point guard Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Dorados in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mineros maintains first place with 24-8 record. Newly promoted Dorados keep the second position with nine games lost. Mineros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dorados will play again against the league's leader Mineros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
