Regular Season Round 14: Beijing Ducks - Guangzhou LL 112-104

Very expected game when 16th ranked Long-Lions (5-10) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Beijing Ducks (11-4) 112-104 on Tuesday. Beijing Ducks made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks outrebounded Long-Lions 43-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was Taiwanese-American point guard Jeremy Lin (190-88, college: Harvard) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Ekpe Udoh (208-87, college: Baylor) chipped in 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) produced a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and Taiwanese point guard Ying-Chun Chen (183-93) added 19 points and 9 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Beijing Ducks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Long-Lions lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with ten games lost. Beijing Ducks will meet Sturgeons (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Long-Lions will play against Royal Fighters in Beijing and hope to secure a win.
