Regular Season Round 24: Bambitious N. - Ehime OV 92-95

A very close game took place in Nara between Orange Vikings and Bambitious N.. Third ranked Orange Vikings (13-11) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Bambitious N. (10-14). Orange Vikings managed to escape with a 3-point win 95-92 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Bambitious N.. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) who added 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Orange Vikings have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-11 record having seven points less than leader Gunma, which they share with FE Nagoya. Loser Bambitious N. dropped to the fourth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Kumamoto V.. Orange Vikings will meet at home Kumamoto V. (#4) in the next round. Bambitious N. will play against FE Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
