Bosnian Orlovi's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Serbian Crvena Zvezda (2-7) 76-64 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 40-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Orlovi dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Crvena Zvezda's 32. Serbian swingman Tamara Rajic (182-93) nailed 9 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and point guard Andjela Gligic (157-0) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Center Masa Jankovic (187-0) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ivana Katanic (180-99) added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals respectively for Crvena Zvezda in the defeat. Four Crvena Zvezda players scored in double figures. Crvena Zvezda's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Orlovi maintains tenth place with 1-8 record. Defending Serbian champion Crvena Zvezda dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Partizan and Tresnjevka. Orlovi will meet at home higher ranked Partizan (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Crvena Zvezda will play against Banovici and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
