The game between third ranked Spurs (9-15) and fifth ranked Cavaliers (6-19) was the most important one in the last day on Thursday night. Spurs were defeated by Cavaliers in a tough game in San Antonio 109-117. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spurs. They outrebounded Spurs 50-36 including 39 on the defensive glass. Cavaliers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Kevin Love (208-88, college: UCLA) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds. American-Filipino guard Jordan Clarkson (196-92, college: Missouri) helped adding 25 points. The best for the losing side was power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cavaliers maintains fifth place with 6-19 record, which they share with N.Orleans P. and Atlanta H. Spurs at the other side keep the third position with 15 games lost.
